What is the ideal temperature for a box vaporizer?
What is the best temperature to get the maximum potency out of my herbs? Also, I have seem some people remove the tube from the box while taking a draw, and I have seen others simply leave the tube on the box while it’s burning. Which is best?

I have a Vapor Daddy Deluxe. It doesn’t have exact temp settings, but goes from 1-10. I keep mine just a touch over 8. Any higher, and I find it starts to burn things. Any lower, and it doesn’t seem like much is happening. It took me a while to learn to make myself be patient letting it heat up first, ’cause I’d end up cranking it up and screwing things when it finally heated up.
I always leave the tube on. The point is to draw the heat through it to release the vapors, and you can’t really do that if it’s not near the element. It doesn’t extract much just being “near” the heat, without the heat moving through it.
It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out when it’s going properly and when it’s done. Keep an eye on the white vapors. It’s pretty much the only way to tell. If you’re lucky, your tube has a glass chamber at the end near the element, and you can watch the vapors gather and flow.
