How to clean a Vicks Vaporizer?
My Vicks Vaporizer started making odd noises so I ended up taking it apart and found that they are hard mineral deposits or something all over the heating coils. I have no idea how to clean it…any ideas?
Answer by B
I was amazed to see that there is a product to actually clean the vaporizer. I hate those black deposits in the water and the hard stuff on the coils. It made me wonder was it making me sicker. Any way, to answer your question I was in Rite Aid yesterday and saw a drop in ball that is used to clean your vaporizer. I do not know the product name, but there is an actual product that is sold to specifically clean it.
Hope this information helped. GOOD LUCK!!!

Can I put eucalyptus oil in Vicks Vaporizer?
Can I put oils used for saunas in my vaporizer without damaging it? I’ve felt great after being in a sauna with eucalyptus oil. I’m wondering if this would have a similar effect?

I used eucalyptus oil mixed with water in mine. It works really well. You can also use an essential oil diffuser. I like the kind with the tea lite candle on bottom with the essential oil bowl on top. Another nice way to use your eucalyptus is to mix it in a small spray bottle with a little lavendar and water and spray it on your sheets and pillows before bed. I love those oils!
How do I turn in a Vick’s Vaporizer into a fog machine?
Im wondering how to turn a vaporizer into a fog machine, i need to find out how to make larger amounts of fog come out.

That kind of vaporizer is not capable of creating an “Arena Rock” fog – just a little steam.
A block of dry ice in a shallow bucket of water will work better.

I have already heard that cool mist ones are recommended for children. Here are a couple articles:

The warm mist are not recommended because they breed germs. you are suppose to use cool only. I would go buy a cool one.
