How hot does a conduction vaporizer for herbs get? Like the dome or globe styled ones?
I’m interested in purchasing one (please spare me of telling me that I should save up and buy a better one). I’m just really curious as to there actual max temperature. Thanks!

Depending on certain conditions THC vaporizes at about 365.
Answer by peetr Different ones have diff high temp probably around 500 F. It’s just a cut off 30 Watt soldering iron under there, heating the pan. And at highest temp it chars the material which is about 500 degrees.
The box style vaps were invented because the globe style don’t work well. I was there, I know.
If you want a good vaporizing experience but don’t want to buy one of the cheap crappy knockoff box styles, then the next best thing is buying a big bowl for your bong at the head shop, and a heat gun from Harborfreight.com. That works.
If you have some reason for wanting the hot plate style/dome style rather than one of the whip or bag styles, then ok, buy one. But don’t expect to love it.

Answer by 1024 I don’t know how well these herbs would be in a vaporizer. They need to be taken internally for full effects. Essential oils can be used in vaporizers, but I don’t know about herbs.
Google herb suppliers and you’ll find many places to order from. Natural health/whole food stores will carry them, too.
Use twice the amount fresh you would use dry, by the way.
Answer by tiger you would be better of using fresh herbs and mashing or crushing the plant part and put a some boiling water onto them then just leave them to steep or you could use dried herbs put you would have to put them into a pan with cold water and slowly bring to the boil reduce heat and simmer down to a quarter of its original volume (10minutes or longer) then put into to your vaporizer until you will also have to crush or bruise these to release their active principles

Does the act of vaporizing legal herbs meet the definition of smoking or is vaping it’s own entity?
A legal medical marijuana card holder wants to vaporize medical marijuana in a non-smoking hotel room that has no clause on vaping. Assuming this case is going to set the precedent, does vaporizing legal hebs meet the definition of smoking?
I think it would come down to the Spirit of the law or rule, which IMO, is to prevent smoke damages and help for those who have allergies. On it’s face, vaporization of herbs could not effect either of those because it’s simply vapor.
I agree with you answer 1 albeit, if you look up the definition of “smoking” It could be argued that vaporizing meets the definition of smoking. It could also be argued that it doesn’t meet the definition of smoking.
Answer by The Naked Troll It doesn’t make a difference, the law concerns the ownership and consumption of controlled substances and so as far as criminal law is concerned it is the same.
As far as smoking regulations are concerned (ie smoking in an public enclosed area), vapourising is NOT smoking as no smoke is produced.
EDIT: It definitely does not meet the definition of smoking. Smoking produces carbon particulates (smoke!) to be released into the air which vaping does not. Vaping is heating until the trichlomes break down and the THC and other cannabinoids are released AS VAPOUR into the air not smoke. It occurs at a lower temperature, you can vape the trichlomes in weed at 220 Celsius which is well below the combustion point.
If you are asking whether you would get into trouble then I think the hotel might have something to say about it however it neither breaks the spirit or letter of the law. Trying to convince either a cop or a hotel manager of that will be tough though. It wouldn’t get to court and if it did you would win, no question.

A lot of calming teas can be vaporized, but be careful with your garden, go organic and no pesticides.

Will it work? Do vaporizers work with legal herbs? I bought a vaporizer and tried it and it doesn’t seem to work… Did I do something wrong or does it just not work for legal herbs? It was advertised as being for “legal herbs only”…. This is annoying.

Answer by four20-47 putting medication (cannabis) in your vape will get your pretty buzzed. also you can put in scents and oils (preferred so you don’t ruin your vape) to relax and be happy. Also, if you want to not be depressed, try putting some cannabis in your vape and token a couple hits.. it’ll do a mind good if you are stressed.. Tetrahydrocannabinol aka THC creates an ease factor for your brain. (i.e. I smoke outta my vape so I can get a good body or head high and do my homework or play on the beach).
