I am unable to find any solid or reliable info on how many people have died due to the use of spice or herbal incense.

Answer by Drew Wierd I answered a question like this earlier.. You can’t really say “how bad” it is.. Yeah it is bad for you (smoking anything is) but it is not as harmful as other smoking products. The only thing that can make it as bad or worse is the huge rips you take off it as compared to other smoking products. If i had to make a scale from best to worst things to inhale, it would be right between marijuana and cigarettes. Also you are getting fumes off that tin/aluminum foil that the coal sits on top that you wouldn’t get from smoking other things..

The main component of a homemade Volcano Vaporizer is a heat gun with a low heat setting of about 200 degrees Fahrenheit. This is especially important if you are using your vaporizer for tobacco. Your heat gun should have a tip on the end where hot air exits and this is where you will attach the bowl with plunger for holding your herbs. Cut a small piece of pliable sheet metal to make a cylinder that fits snugly around the tip of the heat gun. Leave a bit of overlap to solder or glue the ends of the metal together to make the cylinder.
Next, attach a piece of mesh like a thin metal screen to one end of the cylinder. This will hold the herbs inside the cylinder while allowing hot air to pass through in keeping with the concept of the Vaporizer like the Volcano. You will need a plunger inside the cylinder to press down on the plant material and hold your ground herbs into place. A breathable wine stopper makes a good plunger. Either metal or plastic will work as long as it is breathable. Now, attach the completed cylinder with plunger to the tip of the heat gun.
Once you have this, you are ready to fashion the vapor capture device for your vaporizer. This is easily made from an oven bag, non-toxic glue and a thin piece of cardboard or card stock paper. Since this component of the vaporizer is relatively disposable after a few uses, these materials are ideal. Make a cylinder out of the cardboard that is slightly larger in diameter than the one attached to the heat gun. Do this by gluing the ends of the cardboard together and then glue it or even tape it to the open end of the oven bag. This is your mouthpiece.
The cardboard cylinder on the balloon bag should easily fit over the cylinder at the tip of the heat gun but be snug enough to reduce seepage. Together, these two cylinders are the valve set of the vaporizer and should work together to allow vapors to pass through and into the bag without loosing any of your product. These are the simple steps to assembling your own homemade vaporizer quickly, easily and inexpensively. It is a fun project with an end result that will leave you with hours of enjoyment.

Answer by jpturboprop Probably not a bad idea. Relative humidity drops rapidly once the furnace kicks in, and the dry air can promote respiratory problems, both in birds and people. The extra humidity will make your life more comfortable, even if the bird could get along without it. I vote for the humidifier.
Answer by doglover Your husband sounds like a really sweet guy! I just put my humidifier out set on 40%. We only have a dog and a cat but it stops the static electricity building up in their fur. And it’s good for everybody’s breathing in the house.

Sounds like a good idea to me as since the air doesn’t just bother the skin it cna iritate a bird’s repritory system just like it does ours. We use one all thoughout winter because it gets so dry.

You need to consider the warranty that comes with the vaporizer, how often will you need to purchase replacement parts, and what is the life expectancy of the vaporizer. If you invest in a lower priced vaporizer, it may not function properly or end up breaking down and needing replacement. In the long run, it may end up costing you more than, if you had purchased a more expensive, higher quality vaporizer.

Answer by camelhopper First of all, there has never been a documented case of lung cancer that has developed because of marijuana smoking. And marijuana does not kill brain cells.
But the smoke from marijuana can cause some respiratory problems. Vaporizers do eliminate this factor completely. A vaporizer delivers only the desired compounds (THC/CBD) without combustion. No combustion, no smoke, and less odor.
A vaporizer is much more efficient as well. So you need less plant material to reach your desired level. From what i hear, the Volcano Vaporizer is the best on the market. You can see one being used in the movie ‘Super High Me’
