What is the difference using a medical marijuana Vaporizer?
OR
Just smoking it. Do you smoke more or less? Is there a difference in the effect or High?
I know nothing about it, so if you could please share what you know about it. Just interested I can not understand why someone would pay 0.00 or more for a fancy pipe.

Answer by a_kings_fanatic
The simplest answer is “smoking” anything is not healthy. When you combust a substance and inhale the smoke, not only are you inhaling the substances active chemicals but, you are also inhaling the inactive chemicals, which can sometimes contain cancer causing carcinogens, such as with tobacco. In the case of marijuana, it would be not only the ash contained in the smoke due to the lack of a filter but, also chlorophyll, which is an extreme irritant to the airway and why many marijuana smokers cough uncontrollably after taking a hit.

Vaporizers are different because they don’t burn or combust the marijuana, they work by inhaling hot air that is just barely hot enough to melt the oily trichomes, where the active chemicals are contained. When you use a vaporizer for the first time you will instantly notice the difference over smoking. No harsh irritation in the lungs and no hacking cough that usually follows.

It’s not really weed. If it was weed, you couldn’t really buy it online. It’s just some other herbs.

whats the difference between a humidifier and a vaporizer?
my 2yr old and 2 month old babys are sick. might be allergies, i don’t know. they sound conjested but have runny noses. should i use a humidifer or a vaporizer? whats the difference? do they still have a effect if we sleep with the cielling fan on? thanks.

Answer by sewshawn
A humidifier takes moisture OUT of the air, and vaporizer puts moisture INTO the air.
For your sick children, you want to ADD moisture to the air. The extra vapor helps them break up the congestion in their chest and to breathe better.
A ceiling fan just moves air around which does nothing to help your children breathe.
If you suspect allergies, then the most you can do is vaccuum and removed dust from your home daily.

Answer by oadbywonder
humidifier, you’d be wet,vaporizer, you’d be gone

A humidifier puts moisture in the air and a vaporizer is used to vaporize thc (marijuana) before it burns. This makes it much healther than smoking.

The warm mist are not recommended because they breed germs. you are suppose to use cool only. I would go buy a cool one.

What is the difference between a Cool Mist Humidifier and a Warm Mist Vaporizer?
I have a 2 month old that has to have a cool mist humidifier and a 5 year old that has to have a warm mist vaporizer. Thankfully they are in separate rooms. My 5 year old has asthma, does this have something to do with why he needs the warm mist over the cool mist? Also why did they tell me not to use the warm mist for my 2 month old? I’m a bit confused by all this cool mist / warm mist.

Answer by student202003
humidifier puts moisture into the air and vaporizer puts a vapor that usually has some medicinal value. For asthma I would have gone with a Air Purifier too because it will suck up hair, dust, and other allergens from the air making it easier to breathe. The vaporizer should open up his breathing passages and nasal passages to allow easier breathing. Colder temperatures usually cause asthma flare up, and warmer temperatures will allow for easier breathing. As for the humidifier for the younger one, I’m not sure.

Answer by Sarnaath
A cool mist humidifier uses ultrasonic or evaporation to humidify the air, the mist that comes out is a cool temperature. The warm mist basically boils the water and releases a small stream of steam into the air, the steam cools before it exits the humidifier but it’s still warm. Why you’d want one over the other for your kids is something I don’t know. I’m surprised it makes a difference.

Answer by Leezer
Warm mist vaporizers have the danger of burning kids (assuming they put their hands or whatever right over the heat). So, they’re a little more dangerous. The cool mist ones, though, have a greater chance of growing mold in the room and surfaces.

So, they probably recommended the warm mist one to reduce the chance of mold aggravating the asthma. They probably recommended the cool mist one because the chance of being burned was greater than the chance of mold growing.

That’s my speculation.

What is the difference between a vaporizer/diffuser/humidifier?
I’m a bit confused about the difference between a humidifier, vaporizer and diffuser. Any help would be great.

Answer by Kristi T
A humidifier adds moisture to the air; great for winter time in cold areas.
Vaporizers add to the moisture like a Vicks vaporizer add vicks to the mist let out. And, diffusers add a scent to the air by allowing a scented oil to evaporate through special wooden dowles.

Is there a difference between a warm mist vaporizer and a warm mist humidifier?
I just bought a vaporizer. Can you use it without the recommended inhalent medication? Would that make it just like a warm mist humidifier? I am looking to help clear my daughter’s congestion from her sinus infection during her bedtime.

Answer by Chelsea
They are pretty much much the same just different names. I think it will be fine, though you should leave the door open.

Answer by Mady1
Humidifiers and vaporizers add moisture to the air, making it less drying to your mouth, throat, and nose. A humidifier produces a cool mist, and a vaporizer puts out hot steam.

Cool mist from a humidifier may be more comfortable to breathe than hot steam. However, humidifiers are noisy, produce particles that may be irritating to some people, and need to be cleaned and disinfected regularly. This is especially important for people who have mold allergies.

A vaporizer’s hot steam does not contain any irritating particles, and you can add medications such as Vicks VapoRub to ease breathing. Steam may feel good when you have a cold, but the hot water can burn anyone who overturns or gets too close to the vaporizer.

You probably should use a hot steam vaporizer.

The vaporizer usually heats the water and puts more wetness into the air, presumably carrying more of the medicine. A humidifier often uses electrostatic techniques to add just a touch of moisture to the air. I’d say better to go with the vaporizer.

Answer by 1sttimeMomma
Try a vaporizer and also saline drops for her nose. It will help with the congestion
