What size downstem does a q vaporizer with standard equipment hook to on a bong?
I’m trying to connect my bong to my extreme Q tower 4.0 vape, but I think the downstem might be too small as it wont fit in, does anyone know what size the vapes ends are so I can buy a new sized downstem for the bong?

A vaporizor will not burn the bud , therefore no carbon monoxide will be inhaled. It is a better way to go. Really. It will creep on you though so dont go overboard. You think your not getting high and then all of a sudden the vapors kick you in the a s s…lol. gOOd luck!

Vaporizers run between 300 and 400 Farenheit.
Depending on certain conditions THC vaporizes at about 365.

Different ones have diff high temp probably around 500 F. It’s just a cut off 30 Watt soldering iron under there, heating the pan. And at highest temp it chars the material which is about 500 degrees.
The box style vaps were invented because the globe style don’t work well. I was there, I know.
If you want a good vaporizing experience but don’t want to buy one of the cheap crappy knockoff box styles, then the next best thing is buying a big bowl for your bong at the head shop, and a heat gun from Harborfreight.com. That works.
If you have some reason for wanting the hot plate style/dome style rather than one of the whip or bag styles, then ok, buy one. But don’t expect to love it.

I think my water has a very low mineral content, so I’m supposed add a couple pinches of salt. But I have no salt in the house. Can I add something else to the water to get it going? What exactly is it about salt that gets the water boiling?

To get it started you only need to fill with water, turn it on and let it heat up. There should be an instruction sheet. Some models allow you place aromatic oil near the steam spout. As to the salt, my understanding is that it prevents water from reaching a rolling boil. I think I have heard of that when boiling eggs.

check the tubing, filter… the container of water.

You’ve been using water that is less than pure. You probable have calcium/lime built up in the nozzel. You’ll have to clean it thoroughly, and then try to use filtered water in it.

My daughters room smelled musty. I ran a cool mist vaporizer with 1 tsp bleach per gallon of water to kill the musty smell. Does this do any good to kill any mold? I ran it for several days before she moved back into her room. Is this a waste of time?

yes it’s a waste of time, you need to get rid of the mold period. scrub the walls with a bleach solution and repaint her room

You need to apply the bleach directly to the mold to kill it and even then, depending on the species of mold, may not kill it completely. You may need to have a professional take care of it for you. Check with your homeowners insurance, they may cover the cost of mold removal. If you’re renting, check with the rental office, it’ll be cheaper than paying medical bills from mold inhalation. Run your vaporizer a few times with just water outside or in an empty room to flush all of the bleach out of it before anyone stays in the room with it running. You don’t want to inhale vaporized bleach.

Probably a waste of time, and if anything potentially dangerous. You should not inhale bleach fumes. Try washing any fabrics in the room. You may need to clean or replace the carpet. Try a dehumidifier, as often humidity causes mustiness.

i know a ton of cops who know how to do that. i’m pretty sure they hand out instructions just for this type of thing to the officers that work in the individual departments. try asking your local officer!

Fog machines use a cold-based system to create a thick colloid fog, while vaporizers use heat to evaporate water and create humidity. The parts and tools needed to modify your fog machine may cost more that a vaporizer, as well as you may create a fire hazard if you don;t know what you are doing.

No, do NOT try to convert your fog machine. It’s a totally different type of vapor you need.
Can you boil a pan of water on the stove, turn off the heat, add your meds, and just let it steam? Would that work?
I think you really should look into getting a vaporizer. Save up for a month or two, and it should be possible. You can often get the simple ones at thrift stores because people use them with certain meds for babies and then the babies outgrow the need for those meds. If the simple ones would work, that may be your best bet.
