**UPDATE 7/5/2010** Check me out in the Dallas Morning News! I was on the front page in an article about this subject, though it wasn’t exactly the article I’d envisioned, oh well it also got me an offer to be in a radio interview on a major FM radio station in DFW! www.dallasnews.com ^^Note the Erowid.org T-Shirt! Recently several research chemicals were found in packages of “Spice Gold.” This confirmed suspicions that Spice was not “all natural” as it claimed to be. Some people say what they did was unethical, others say it was brave, either way it was certainly genius. Check out Spice on Erowid: www.erowid.org
Can I use a pot vaporizer when I’m on depression medication?
Ive heard that marijuana has a lot of negative effects when smoking it while taking medication, but I’ve never found information about using a vaporizer. Does anyone know if it would effect me the same?
Answer by peetr Although vaporizing is healthier, and has a cleaner effect as well, most doctors will recommend against smoking herb because they believe that it conflicts with the effect they are trying to get with their medications. Unfortunately there isn’t any unbiased opinion available , nor is there adequate study done on the interactions of herb with common medicines. Some medicines may work less effectively when you are heavily smoking or vaporizing. In addition it will be harder to evaluate your mental state; is it the medicine or the herb making you feel different?
Now, for my opinion; controlling depression is as much about changing your attitudes and your reactions to stress as it is with finding appropriate medicines to help. Some people find it easier to deal when they smoke, so it could be helpful. Vaporizing won’t be very different than smoking, although many people claim that they feel different, and better mood wise, when they vaporize rather than smoke. We think it may have to do with the mental effects of some of the toxins and tars that are present in anything you might smoke. Vaporizing releases less of these compounds, and the cleaner mental effect may be a result of this difference. I’ve personally had a number of people say they didn’t feel as paranoid, or unpleasant when they vaporized, even though they report feeling much higher.

Can I send a vaporizer to my college dorm room address?
I realize it’s probably not a great idea, but it’s not illegal to own a vaporizer. I’m just wondering if the post office at my college will put my name on some sort of list or something.
Answer by PE2008 You mean like a Phaser or Disruptor?
Answer by peetr Not a great idea, but probably ok.
Some colleges have a zero tolerance program that’s tougher than the actual laws, so make sure the packaging is secure, and not flimsy.
Magic Flight Launch Box for actual aromatherapy?
Hi, I recently bought a Magic Flight Launch Box and am interested in using it for aromatherapy. I have searched online for it’s effectiveness, but most of the posts are in regards to cannabis, which do not apply to me. I’ve read a lot about the use of essential oils but very little about using the actual dried herbs. I’ve already purchased some thyme, peppermint, raspberry leaves, green tea and cinnamon bark (bought probably 7 grams of each just to try them out, figured might as well, since it cost me very little). However, I’d like to ask for any other suggestions from people who regularly vaporize dried herbs and any resources they know of that specifically talk about using dried herbs as opposed to essential oils.
Answer by iPhone expertise Most of the herbs you listed don’t work very well for aromatherapy. I love using chamomile in my vaporizer. Green tea works okay, but I HIGHLY suggest chamomile. FYI if you live a medical legal state, there is nothing wrong with cannabis!
Answer by Mike Rothstein YES! the magic flight is AMAZING! i used to have one. its perfect for any situation, except for maybe aromatherapy…. the magic flight is designed to vaporize cannabis, not any other herbs. the heating tempature is specifically set to the vaporization point of THC. you should get a vaporizer that has adjustable heat settings.

Make my smoking less predictable?
ive been vaporizing “legal” herb with my friend a lot recently and my parents have been getting suspicious. my parents have already kinda caught me once. i make it a habit to always come home looking fine, no red eyes or bad breath or smelling of herb. but my mom just seems to know. what im asking is, is there something else i could be doing to help cover up the fact that i have been vaporizing?
Answer by Ryan Parents know because when you come home still feeling it. Your body language, voice, and dialogue are all usually off your normal beat. Parents pick up on this. In order for you to help cover this up … Next time when your on your way home, think up how and what your parents are going to say to you when you get home. Figure out ahead what your going to say back and everything should be fine.
